As Scheduler, your responsibilities will include developing and maintaining production schedules, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to meet customer requirements, optimizing resource utilization, and supporting both strategic and operational initiatives to drive overall business performance.

More about your responsibilities:

Production Scheduling:

·        Develop and maintain production schedules, considering inventory, component availability, operational resources, and customer-requested dates.

·        Coordinate with internal teams (Operations, Procurement, Logistics, Customer Service) to ensure schedule accuracy and alignment with business needs.

·        Support Demand and Supply Planning initiatives to improve forecasting and resource utilization.

Process Optimization:

·        Identify bottlenecks and recommend solutions to enhance operational performance.

·        Work with internal and external partners to optimize planning patterns and improve efficiency.

·        Lead or support strategic projects as required.

Metrics & Systems:

·        Track, coordinate, and report on key metrics and KPIs to support data-driven decisions.

·        Maintain ERP/MRP system schedules, including issuing Purchase Orders and other planning-related activities.

·        Provide backup support for planning and purchasing as needed.

Compliance & Safety:

·        Ensure adherence to JHG Quality Management System standards.

·        Follow all Health & Safety and Environmental Management policies and procedures.

What you’ll bring

  • Post-secondary education in a STEM-related field.
  • SCMP designation or progress toward it is a strong asset.
  • 3+ years of experience as a Scheduler in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems and supply chain practices, preferably in packaging or light manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) is an asset.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution abilities.
  • Results-oriented mindset with pride and ownership in performance.
  • Adaptable and comfortable with change, looking at challenges as opportunities to improve processes.
  • Experience within a pharmaceutical or food environment
  • Understanding/familiarity of cGMP
  • Experience within a regulated environment packaging/food/pharmaceutical (FDA, Health Canada)
