As a Gluer Operator, your responsibilities will include setting up and operating gluing equipment efficiently to produce high-quality folding cartons at optimal speed. As the final checkpoint before customer delivery, your role is critical in maintaining top-tier quality and ensuring seamless production flow.
More about your responsibilities:
- Equipment Operation & Setup: Prepare and operate gluing machinery with minimal setup time to maximize efficiency and output.
- Quality Assurance: Inspect cartons continuously for proper gluing, alignment, and overall quality to meet customer expectations.
- Process Monitoring: Ensure barcode scanners are functioning correctly, maintain adequate glue levels, and purge gluers at the end of each production run.
- Collaboration & Support: Assist Feeders and Packers as needed to maintain workflow and efficiency throughout the production process.
- Machine Maintenance & Safety: Perform routine maintenance checks, report any equipment deficiencies, and follow all Health & Safety protocols.
- Continuous Improvement: Apply lean manufacturing techniques to optimize production processes and enhance overall efficiency.
- Workplace Organization: Maintain a clean and organized workspace to support a safe and productive environment.
What you’ll bring

- 5+ years of experience as a Gluer Operator, preferably in the printing or packaging industry.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience operating and troubleshooting production equipment.
- Keen eye for detail with a commitment to quality control and efficiency.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented manufacturing environment.
- Understanding of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement.
- Post-secondary education is an asset but not required.
