As a Manager, Maintenance and Facilities, you will be responsible for leading and overseeing maintenance and facilities operations to ensure plant equipment, utilities, and systems run safely and efficiently. You will collaborate with the production team to maximize machine uptime and support strategic projects.
More about your responsibilities:
- Service Standards Development: Implement and execute service standards to ensure maintenance effectively supports production and business goals.
- Maintenance Operations: Plan, coordinate, and manage all maintenance activities with your team and other departments for seamless production flow.
- Preventative Maintenance: Oversee the plant maintenance program with a focus on planning, scheduling, and predictive maintenance best practices for the pharmaceutical industry.
- Inventory and Supplies: Manage and develop inventories for spare parts and maintenance supplies to ensure operational readiness.
- Projects: Coordinate with departments to onboard new processes and equipment, ensuring smooth integration and upgrades.
- Project Updates: Provide regular updates on project milestones, results, and key deliverables, ensuring timely communication.
- Equipment Uptime: Develop standards for routine maintenance activities.
- Safety Leadership: Assess and support your team to ensure effective escalation and resolution. Lead safety initiatives by ensuring that all maintenance activities comply with safety standards and that all team members are working in a safe environment.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify and lead initiatives to improve processes and efficiency across the facility.
What you’ll bring

- University degree or college diploma in a technical field,
- 5+ years of leadership experience in maintenance and facilities management, ideally in a cGMP or similar regulated industry.
- Proven ability to collaborate across teams and provide clear direction.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with fluency in English.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, 24x5 operational environment with a focus on efficiency and productivity.

- Certified Engineering Technologist (CET) or other professional designations.
- Experience with implementing a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Experience within a pharmaceutical or food environment.
- Experience within a regulated environment packaging/food/pharmaceutical (FDA, Health Canada).
