The Maintenance Millwright is responsible for ensuring that equipment and facilities are maintained in a manner consistent with the highest level of GMP standards and customer expectations. As a service-oriented individual with a strong sense of urgency, the Maintenance Millwright will continuously evaluate the equipment and facility to strive for improvements in health and safety, quality, and the overall productivity of the organization.

More about your responsibilities:

  • Act as a technical resource to address and resolve any maintenance-related inquiries and problems.
  • Provide immediate support to Production when equipment issues arise.
  • Ensure timely and accurate write-ups of all maintenance activities performed, while ensuring that any parts/supplies/accessories consumed during the repair are recorded, to ensure timely replacement orders are executed.
  • Support and help develop, implement and sustain a Jones maintenance program, including corrective and priority repair, preventative and predictive maintenance, ensuring that assets’ operations are stable, reliable, productive, and well maintained.
  • Support the development, implementation, and execution of service standards in the maintenance department to ensure provided services effectively support the achievement of overall production and business-required results and goals.
  • Help ensure facilities, equipment and utilities are maintained in a proper state of repair in order to deliver against business requirements.
  • Seek out and suggest continuous improvement initiatives geared towards improving system effectiveness, quality, safety, and/or equipment performance.

What you’ll bring:

  • Certified Industrial Millwright or late-stage apprentice with demonstrated industrial experience.
  • 5-10 years of maintenance experience within a manufacturing environment; pharmaceutical and/or food packaging experience is highly desirable.
  • Proven knowledge of industrial equipment and maintenance activities including blister packaging equipment, bottle filling equipment, cartooning lines, conveyors, packaging systems, pneumatics, PLC’s, and HVAC systems.
  • Lean manufacturing is an asset.
  • The ability to work a 3-shift rotation schedule of days, afternoons, and midnights, based on the business demand.
