The Setup Mechanic is responsible for assembling, dismantling, setting up, and operating the assigned equipment and operating area.
More about your responsibilities:
- Safely set up, operate, dismantle, replace parts, and assembly of assigned equipment (bottle/vial, blister, inkjet printers, etc.).
- Assess, analyze, and troubleshoot equipment.
- Verify components against work order (FIFO).
- Perform line clearance and sanitize equipment.
- Be aware of and perform preventative maintenance and calibration.
- Conduct proper testing methods for the packages produced on the assigned equipment.
- Understand the qualities and properties of the packaging materials used on the assigned equipment, i.e. the proper heat sealing, temperature, dwell time and pressure of materials.
- Provide feedback to management regarding any issues and/or ideas for improving effectiveness, quality, safety, and equipment performance.
- Comply with cGMP and internal procedures and standards.
What you’ll bring:
- Minimum High School Diploma.
- 2-5 years of work experience within a manufacturing environment; pharmaceutical and/or food packaging experience is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in electrics, pneumatics, and mechanics of equipment.
- The ability to work a 3-shift rotation schedule of days, afternoons, and midnights, based on the business demand.
